The City of San Diego's 52 Community Planning Areas
Under the direction of Council Policy 600-09, The Community Planners Committee (CPC) is composed of the Chair or an officially designated Alternate from each of the City of San Diego's 41 recognized Community Planning Groups (CPGs). Each recognized CPG is entitled to one voting representative on the Committee.
CPC serves as a citywide forum where Community Planning Group leaders collaborate, exchange information, and discuss planning and land use issues that affect multiple communities or have citywide significance. The Committee also provides recommendations to the City on proposed policies, ordinances, procedures, and planning initiatives that impact Community Planning Groups and the broader planning process.
By bringing together representatives from across San Diego, CPC helps ensure that local community perspectives are shared, coordinated, and considered in decisions that shape the City's future.

The meetings are an opportunity to network with other community leaders and discuss important policy or development issues with City Planning staff.
